Number Crunching

There is a reason, I'm not an accountant. I've been reminded of this again and again.

The fiance and I *really* want to spend at least half of our budget making the cermony itself really nice. We'd like some excellent priests there, good music, nice floral arrangements, etc.

The meal is significantly cutting into our budget. Ironically, October is still considered "prime season" out here. This would never happen in the Midwest! So, we're looking at prime prices.

We would still love to have our reception at a barn, overlooking rolling hills, if for no other reason but that it would be fun!

Yes, it's crazy how much more expensive the coast is than the midwest. But going simple, actually makes things so much more personal! I totally wanted to have our reception in a barn (the Cuddeback barn where all the dances were)! I pitched it to my parents who said no, and b/c they were paying they got to make that call :( You are so creative, I know whatever you decide will turn out amazing! ;)

We're thinking of moving it to VA, but need to lock-in the reception site. It's just way easier to plan something in the same place you're actually living. Either way, we'll have little receptions/parties at both of our homes. :) I'll e-mail you more details when we've locked them in.
